The spokane humane society was founded by a group of concerned citizens in 1897.
Keeping pets and people together.
Back then, they looked after the draft horses used to carry loads up spokane’s south hill.
Safe foster families keep in contact with the pet owners by sending them pictures of their pets and giving them updates.
They work closely with people to provide comfort, relief, and support in these hard times.
Spokane is one of just seven cities to be awarded funding through mars petcare’s better cities for pets program.
